The Dassie Trail Run is the fun, fast and scenic 8km companion event to the iconic Otter African Trail Run. Designed to bring new runners, families and local trail lovers into the Otter weekend spirit, the Dassie is short on distance but big on experience.
Set against the backdrop of the Tsitsikamma coast, the Dassie route starts and finishes near Nature’s Valley, winding through forest trails, jeep track and technical singletrack with approx. 254m of elevation gain.
It’s the perfect intro to trail running or a punchy leg-stretcher for those supporting an Otter athlete. With a festive vibe, beautiful views and signature Otter terrain, the Dassie Trail Run captures the soul of the weekend, just in a smaller, more accessible package.

The top 3 (1st, 2nd & 3rd place) male and female will be awarded an EasyEquities voucher.
There is no minimum age for entry; however, for participants under the age of 18 parental consent is required.
