 The Otter African Trail Run is Africa’s premium marathon distance Tra
 il Running Event. Dubbed the Grail of Trail the event traverse South Afric
 a’s world-renowned five-day Otter hiking trail which is otherwise off li
 mits to trail running. The undulating coastal trail provides a balanced te
 st of technical trail running drawing a competitive field from across the 
 globe.</span></p><p><br></p><p><span style="color: rgb(0\, 0\, 0)\; backgr
 ound-color: transparent\;">The Event is stage in two departures with two d
 ifferent Cut Off Times\; the Otter Challenge with an 11-hour cut-off and t
 he Otter Race with a more demanding 9 hour cut off. The Race and The Chall
 enge are each staged over two days with a 4 km prologue on the first day a
 nd 42km run on the 2nd day. The course alternates direction each year. </
